Image
Hi. Today im going to talk about a book that i really like. İts “Yeşil Kiraz” from Gülten Dayıoğlu. The book is about a girl named Kiraz and her family who came to Istanbul from a little village to do doorman. This family is really oppressive.(especially to their daughter)  Since their financial  situation is not good, Kiraz started working at a young age and while she is working she witnessed lots of different lifes and she realized how her family is restrictive to her. So she start to do things secretly that she is not allowed to do. And when things got wrong she can't talk with her parents and that mades the situation even worse. Just because of the pressure of the parents she do lots of mistakes over and over.   Unfortunately there are a lot of families like that in our society. Of course parents must protect their children so of course there are going to be some rules but if you read the book you can understand what i mean. That is not being protective...

My Lockdown Routine

Hi. Today I’m going to talk about my lockdown routine.   In weekdays my parents go to work so I stay with my sister at home. But she is getting ready for universty at this year, she is generally studying in her room so I can say that I’m alone most of the time. I’m trying to have some quality time when I’m alone instead of just wasting my time. I guess I’m not successful but still im trying.    I wake up at 7.30 am everyday. At first weeks of the quarantine I was waking up at 5.30 or 6.00 am and I was going to bed earlier but at these days I started to study at late hours so I can’t wake up that early.    I always change my pajamas as soon as possible (I think that is really important. Since we are at home we are getting distracted so easily and I think its good to get ready like we are going out because its helpful to be in the right mood in that quarantine days. Besides that if its possible i recommend you to not study in your bed or...

A Book Review/The Other Side Of The Couch-Bir Psikiyatristin Gizli Defteri

The Other Side Of The Couch-Bir Psikiyatristin Gizli Defteri Gary Small is an psyciatrist and Gigi Vorgan is his wife. In that book Gigi wrote about her husband's patients and their reasons to go to a psyciatrist.Of course they changed a lot of things about that stories because they have to be respectful to their patient's privacy. But still its really entertaining to read. (I don’t know why did they translate the name of the book to Turkish as “Bir Psikiyatristin Gizli Defteri” when the original name of the book is “The Other Side Of The Couch” but I definitely can say that the Turkish version of the name is more interesting than the original one) The book consists of fifteen diffrent parts, in each part there are different stories. Each story lasts about 15-20 pages. Since they are short the stories are easy to read. They have really interesting points. I am going to give an example about one of the stories but If you are planning to read it you must skip this paragra...
