    Today I'm going to tell you about Thomas Quafthoff''s life but before I start to tell you about Thomas I want to talk about "Thalidomide Tragedy" shortly. 

   Thalidomide was a medicine used by pregnant women. After lots of years researchers found out this medicine is seriously harmful for babies. its prevents the babies developments. Lots of babies was born without arms or legs. Some of them was blind or deaf. The drug banned after years but it was already too late for lots of person who take damages from that.(by the way this drug never been used in Turkey thanks to our precious Ord.Prof.Dr. Süreyya Tahsin Aygün)

   Thomas Quafthoff is one of the babies who was born without arms. His family didn't want him so he started to live with another family. But still that couldn't stop him. He became a great musician. He has lots of differnt awards including 3 Grammy Award( we can say that Grammy is the Oscar Award for musicians. I mean its the biggest award that you can have about music as I know) 


 

  Of course Thomas struggled too much and he forced himself to achive his dreams but still Thomas’s step mother has a big share in this succes. According to a story Thomas told in an interview, while Thomas is growing up his step mother said he has to make his bed just by himself, he has to clean his own room, he has to get dressed without taking help. Almost everyone thought that she is just being cruel to him. Thomas was thinking like that too. But of course that was not true. Thanks to her Thomas can live like just an ordinary person even though he has not arms.


   So I could definitely say that both of Thomas and his step mother are one of the most inspiring persons in the world. Thomas didn't care about obstacles and worked hard for his dream. His mother took a lot of hate just cause of the way she raised his son but still she did her best for his son even though its hard too see him struggling. Both of them didn't give up and they walked in their way.

Selçuk Aydemir-Mahalleden Arkadaşlar Selçuk Aydemir is a famous director and in this book he tells us about his childhood ambitions and his mischievous adventures.  He was born in 1982 and he tells us his 9 years old days so since the childrens in these years were not spending their lifes with phones their childhood interests is a lot different from ours. He sees the head of the neighborhood as his idol and he is trying to get into his gang. So he does a lot of naughtiness with two of his friends.    Seeing the diffrences between their and our childhood was entertaining for me so i recommend this book to all of my ages. The book has 222 pages and it consist of 10 section. There is also a "Liseden Arkadaşlar" version of the book. As the name suggest the author tells us about his high school years in the second book. I didn't read the second one so ı can't make a comparison but ı wonder it too much.

3 TV Series to Watch During Quarantine

Hey guys, in this post I'm going to recommend you 3 TV series to watch. 1-Orphan Black Orphan Black is a Canadian thriller series which is consist of five seasons and 50 episodes in total. I've watched all seasons except the last one because fourth season was kinda boring to me so I stopped watching but still this is one of my favorite series so I wanted to share it with you. Main character Sarah Manning incidentally witnessing the suicide of a girl who exactly looks like her and then she finds out that she has clones. Of course that bring her life a lot of trouble and we watch her fighting with that problems in the series. 2-Masum This one is my mother's recommendation  not mine. its a Turkish drama and mystery series.
